Anya Volz is a New York City-based comedian originally from Vermont. The comedian has earned the acclaim of men from all over America for her funny comics that aren't preachy. She is the writer and creator of content to Riot Fest: The Hard Times as well as Macaulay's Bunny Ears. Her appearances have been featured in BuzzFeed, Vulture, and at major festivals, such as The Women in Comedy Festival in New York as well as the New York Comedy Festival. The family was initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria in the year she turned six years old. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and she did not study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was ordered to move schools. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. After she turned 16, she quit school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy was a child actress who was certain she would be one. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
